Gearing Up for Mardi Gras and Lent 🎭

Gearing Up for Mardi Gras and Lent 🎭

     HELLO EVERYONE

We decided to take a break from writing this Newsletter (as you know!) and are now getting ready to begin the Lenten Season, arriving in less than one week!

We will be offering unique items, special discounts, and introducing new saint medals and photographs all throughout Lent. Be sure to be on the lookout for our “40 Days of Lent” newsletter series.

If you know of anyone who would like to receive this Newsletter, you can forward this note and they can be added to our Newsletter Mailing List HERE

We will also be posting the Newsletters on the SaintsforSinners / SaintsforHOPE website. We have perfect hand-painted saint medal packages for any occasion.

Just yesterday we heard from Mary in Eunice, Louisiana.  Mary called us to say she needed 3 Holy Spirit medals to give to her Great Grandchildren. They will receive their First Holy Communion and/or Celebrate Confirmation in just a few weeks. Mary typically bought her medals at Louisiana Church Interiors in Crowley, LA but made a “Special Order” with us instead.

Since we had a break after Christmas, we were able to work on spiffing up some of the medals we have that almost didn’t make it through Hurricane Katrina and the flood in New Orleans. It takes quite a bit of time and “elbow grease” to get those flood medals looking presentable.  We attach the medals to the hand-painted wooden crosses and then explain which saints we’ve “reinvented” with notes on the back of the crosses. These are the most unique one-of-a-kind items you can ever discover anywhere.

We wanted to take a quick moment to let you know what we have been doing.  And also send a quick reminder that Ash Wednesday is on its way. Lent is not a strictly Roman Catholic Celebration. Many different religions follow a Lenten Calendar.

Conceptually, making a Vow to Do Better, Be Better, and Sacrifice is a perfect endeavor for all of us, regardless of religious affiliation.

Get ready to enjoy the frivolity of Mardi Gras on “Fat Tuesday'' and then take your Vows to Be Better on Ash Wednesday. The 40 days of Lent present a great time for emotional, mental, physical, and of course, spiritual growth. Talk and think about Vows to Do Better and Be Better this week. Share your Vows with your friends and family. Share your plans fully, completely, and unabashedly. You may wind up encouraging another to take a Vow to Do Better and Be Better.
