A “TRIP OVER THE POND” ~ A Fun Idea and a Special Thank You to YOU!

A “TRIP OVER THE POND” ~ A Fun Idea and a Special Thank You to YOU!

Hello Everyone!

Happy Holy Thursday!

(Is today the least favorite day of Nail Salon Workers?) Idk. Hmmm.

ABOUT OUR TRIP!

The trip to see the repaired Note Dame in Paris begins today. We’ll be in Paris to attend Mass tomorrow, “Good Friday,” visit Saint Mary Catherine Laboure and Marguerite D’Youville at the Chapel of the Miraculous Medal and the Church of Mary Magdalene, among others.

Afterward, we will spend time in Venasque, France and visit the Pope’s Palace in Avignon, which is astoundingly beautiful. Saint Catherine of Siena convinced the Papacy to return to Rome. Avignon is a beautiful town with remarkable history. We call Saint Catherine the patron saint of “GIRL POWER” because she was a strong, persuasive and charismatic leader of the Church. The Holy See gave her a Doctorate! If you go to Siena, Italy, you can see her finger! It’s on display!

Then we will travel to Rome for the Blessed Carlo Acutis Canonization. He’ll be a true patron saint of kids and Faith. He created a data base chronicling the Apparitions of the Blessed Virgin Mary, before he was a 16-year-old. He died when he was 15. He loved Nike, Play Station, Video Games, all animals, and simply biking all around town. Carlo is an exceptional Role Model for kids!

KIDS, CHILDREN, PEOPLE YOUNG AT HEART (LIKE ME!)

I have this new idea. It seems the Post Office is not as functional these days, in my opinion. That’s why we are changing our Policy and sending all of the hand-painted saint medal packages you order by PRIORITY MAIL. It costs more, yes it does. Yet, Regular NON-Priority Packages seem to move slower or become lost. It’s quite irksome and confusing because I thought new technology would make the Post Office more efficient, not less. I’m not getting that impression, though….

So, I have an idea! I’ve started decorating my cards, my mail going out – the envelopes, with lots of color! Using Crayons, Stickers, Drawings, Extra Words, (“CONTENTS INSIDE”) Sharpies (my favorite!) I’ve never seen a Sharpie I did not like – except when they run out of ink.)

Moving along …. MY IDEA!

If you have a child or if you know a child or are a teacher, think about having them send a Self-Addressed Stamped Envelope to me and I will send them something from my trip to Paris or Avignon, or Venasque or Rome. Teach kids about SASE’s. Teach them about MAIL! Have a whole class send SASE’s! I’ll the use the envelopes to mail it back!

It seems like that would be fun! I sent my young niece a letter one time and she was so excited! As a society, we have become totally enraptured by AI, Texting, and overall, quick responses. (“TLDNR” – Too Long Did Not Read is so sad!)

TLDNR - EDITORIAL: It sure does not seem TLDNR is a useful way to teach anyone about patience or careful thought or rumination! END OF EDITORIAL

So, if you like the idea just help your kid send me a SASE and I will return it to them with some stickers or a card or something else that’s kid-likable – I’ll have some kids pick the stuff out!) I hope I get some SASE’s from kids. They can make their envelopes colorful and fun. I bet the colorful and fun envelopes get more attention from the Post Office. Maybe! “MS2M” – Makes Sense to Me! ( I made that one up!)

Kids, Adults and even your friends can receive something from www.SaintsforHOPE.com ~ www.SaintsforSinners.com just by sending an SASE. It’s easy for you to fill out an envelope and surprise a friend or relative who certainly will not be expecting a memento from Europe.

Here's where you can mail SASE’s

I hope I get some envelopes while I’m away. We will still be mailing out medals while I’m in Europe - Adam LeBlanc has joined Franco, Victoria, Tim, Mark and Rick to help us get our hand-painted saint medal packages carefully packaged and send to you by PRIORITY MAIL.

Of course, the SASE’s we receive will be “SNAIL MAIL” but I have faith those envelopes will find their way back to you, especially if they are colorfully decorated. I guess this is an experiment. Another idea. I am so grateful to be a person who always has dozens of ideas floating in my head. I wouldn’t be doing what I’m doing if I had not thought saint medals needed color and stye.

I’m not a fan of drab and grey. In “Mr. Jones,” The Counting Crows sing “Grey is my favorite color.” And they sing it well. Funny, I love that song, but I do not like the color grey!

Thanks for Inspiring me … &

Thanks for Reading to the Bottom Line. CIAO!
