Many of you have read this story before. That's ok - this is a tale to be shared, not kept! Many years ago, I received a handwritten note from an 11 year old boy, Nicholas. That boy is now 23 years old, and I sure do hope he or his Mom still read these Newsletters.

The letter is included, atop this note. It may be on our Testimonials page too. We're still updating the website so I'm not sure whether it's there now. If not, it will be soon. We have over 100 testimonials and it's taking some time to filter through all of our content from the previous website and re-introduce edited versions.

A Personal Note to Nicholas & his Mom,

if they still read the NL's

Dear Mom of Nicholas, the note you had your son write to me is my favorite note of all time. There are so many kind testimonials that have arrived throughout the years. I appreciate and each and every one, but the note from Nicholas has always been framed and is near and dear to my heart.

Nicholas, you're a grown man now! I hope you are well and happy. Please know that your 11 year old self touched my heart deeply. Your note (written in script!) has picked me up over and over again. Your words always encourage me. You strengthened my resolve to reach out to people lapsed a bit. I'm not "preaching to the choir." You inspired my creativity when you simply accepted we have a patron saint for NASCAR drivers.

Maybe Saint Richard has interceded and helped avoid accidents on the race track. Maybe he has been an inspiration to others, not only you! And gosh, maybe you are a part of NASCAR or even a race car driver now!

Thank you for being such a terrific 11 year-old boy. That boy, who is you, has enriched my heart and soul. And in you words, from your handwritten note, thank you, and
