PB&M!

Restocking Pauline Books & Media

4403 Veterans Boulevard

Metairie, LA 70006

Our supply of hand-painted saint medals at PB&M has been replenished. On one of our visits to Pauline (we have been to several of their franchises throughout

the USA and in Europe,) we met

a young girl named MaryAm.

Her Mom told us that her daughter once nicknamed the store "Peanut Butter & Marys," PB&M! We thought that was quite hilarious! It made me recall the phrase,

"Kids Say the Darnedest Things!"

I had to ask MayAm's Mom, "Do choosy mothers choose JIF?"

Our visit to Paris and Roma is planned. Our "bags are not packed, yet we are ready to go" and anticipating our travels. We look forward to attending Mass at the refurbished Notre Dame in Paris. Then we will go see Blessed Carlo Acutis. He's becoming Saint Carlo at the Vatican! Saint Peter's Square will be filled with kids for the Jubilee Year. We can't wait to hear the joyful words

and nicknames they deliver.

We went to the Canonizations of John Paul II and John XXIII. That's when we learned that boys and girls were calling Saint John Paul "JP2 " and Saint John "J23." We have to admit using with "JP2," just like the kids. Adults and fans of Saint John Paul often call him JP2, and we have heard Priests kindly

smile and laugh at the endearing nickname.

When in Rome ..., I'm always buying lots of medals to sell or share as lagniappe. I also look for fun Sacramentals to share or decorate. For the past 20 (or more years), I've collected all sorts of iconography in Rome and Assisi, Siena and Venice, Medjugorje, Fatima, Loreto, Avila, Lisieux, and

Lourdes. The pilgrimage places are always so exceptional.

Most of you know what I do with many of the items I buy. If you're new to the mailing list, you may not be aware, unless you've been filtering through some of our prior Newsletters. Most of the previous Newsletters, the good and also the lame, are included on the web site. You can use the search bar to read about some of our excursions.

So, for those of you who do not know, let me cordially invite you to send in a Self Addressed Stamped Envelope ("SASE"). I will return it to you with something from my visits to Paris and Roma next month. Just yesterday, I already received an SASE along with a lovely handmade and decorated card from a reader and loyal customer, Brenda.

Brenda was writing to let us know her beloved dog, named Rocco, had passed away. Please say a prayer to Saint Rocco, patron of dogs and dog lovers, and ask for Intercession. Brenda's understandably heartbroken and will appreciate all your kind words, thoughts, and condolences.

It's exciting to be getting ready for these trips. I'm also hoping to find some medals and relics to share. The Brocantes in Provence are amazing. Every vendor offers brilliant and curious renderings. It's fascinating to see the items they present. I'll be sure to take nice photographs and then share some with you in upcoming Newsletters.

So, send in your SASE's and I will, eventually, send that envelope back to you, along with a special gift of ....

Je ne c'est quoi!

Thanks for reading to the bottom line!
