Hello Everyone –

Last week, I was walking the streets of the small town of Pernes Les Fontaine and learned that Pope Francis I passed away. Although it might not have been surprising to many, I was completely shocked.

Pope Francis I’s funeral and then his entombment at Saint Mary Major were events that we never envisioned experiencing.  On Saturday, during the funeral, the crowds were cheering during the Homily as Cardinal Re spoke of Pope Francis’ open heart towards everyone, even the marginalized, reminding us all he was a “Pope among the people.”

I found beautiful tokens to share and many are already in the mail and on their way to you from the Vatican.

We’ll be reporting back about the future events bound to take place, but for now let’s just say a heartfelt and love filled “Goodbye” to the most special Pope in my lifetime. Thank you, Pope Francis I, for teaching us how to live with love, compassion and inclusion. Thank you for showing us that we can all lead by your way and example.

The Homily for Francis and his Pectoral Cross, clearly showing a Shepherd leading its flock, shall always remind us to humbly take our friends, families and others where they are at the junctures in their life journey.

It’s not our task to judge, but the essence of Pope Francis I, and message to all of us is to try and keep trying more to nurture and care for one another, in all stations of life.

Thanks for reading to the bottom line.
