September 7, 2025 is Pope Leo XIV's

First Canonization Celebration

Blessed Pier Giorgio Frassati

Blessed Carlo Acutis

The Vatican Canonization Schedule is again rearranged, rescheduled, remixed, remade and remodeled!

Before Pope Francis I died, we were ready to travel to Italy from France for the Canonization of Carlo Acutis, who was (and is) going to be our First Millennial Saint.

Instead, we went to the funeral of Pope Francis I in Vatican Square. Blessed Carlo's Canonization had to be rescheduled. As the postcards I sent you from the Vatican said, there was a "Job Opening." Those commemorative stamps were amazing! The Catholics didn't have a Pope available to Canonize anybody!

We thought we would be going to Blessed Pier Giorgio Frassati's Canonization in August. It was on the Calendar! Except that is not happening anymore! His Canonization is now turning into a dual Celebration of Youth on September 7, 2025.

We're excited to be attending the Canonizations of Carlo and Pier. Better later than never, as they say. We will soon have the Patron Saint of Software Developers, Computer Programmers, Marian Devotees, Millennials, Hikers, Bikers, and Mountain Climbers .... All In One Day!

Thank you, Pope Leo, Blessed Carlo, and Blessed Pier, for bringing this all together. Good things are worth waiting for!

So, we'll again be inviting you to send in SASE's once again so we can send you something from our trip. It will probably be a Pope Leo XIV medal, unpainted. But who knows what we will send. We never know.

This is all very exciting news. So, because of Pope Leo XIV's change in plans.... We have had to change our schedule too.

Also .... Look forward to the Newsletter we were, and still are, writing about Colleen Dulle. She has a book coming out, "Struck Down Not Destroyed." It's a Message of Hope. Research the title. Look up "Jars of Clay." We will be sending you a longer newsletter about Colleen, her book, women, 4 Doctors of the Church, and Chicago's Dorothy Day. That's quite a lot. (Curiously, Pope Leo XIV and Dorothy Day are both from Chicago - maybe that's not so curious all ....)
