Yesterday, We received a wonderful note from John Simpson in Joliet, Illinois.
Here it is:
Rob,
I'd like to share a short story about SaintsforSinners and how your medal resonates with others.
I live near Chicago and have been a yearly visitor
to New Orleans for over 25 years.
Sometime around 2007, I was at a House Concert given by musician Paul Sanchez.
I noticed Paul was wearing a medal with a Fleur de Lis that you had made with "Pray For Us" inscribed on the back.
This was right after the city of New Orleans had been decimated by Hurricane Katrina and one of the floods of the century.
Admiring it, Paul took it off and gave it to me. I've worn it daily since then.
I called Rob asking if he could touch it up and he said, "Yes, of course."
Thanks Paul, Rob, and New Orleans for your beautiful spirit I reflect on every day. I wish continued success to y'all.

POST SCRIPT
When I first started this company I envisioned a Mott0: "WEAR this medal and then SHARE it with someone you love. It didn't usually work. Most people kept theirs and bought more medals for their friends and families instead. But my friend Paul followed the original concept and took his medal off his neck and shared it with John. It certainly made a lasting impression. Maybe you can follow the original concept and share your hand-painted medal the next time someone says they admire it.
Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young may say it better:
" Teach Your Children Well; Teach Your Parents Well. Don't you ever ask them why. If they told you you could fly, just look at them and sigh.
And know they love you. "
I write this story for my childhood friend Peggy,
who passed away recently, after a long bout with cancer.
Can we fight cancer, instead of each other?
God Bless You, Peggy, You leave behind an army of friends and family who miss you dearly. Rest in Peace and look after us too.
Thanks for reading!
