    Saint Isaac Jogues was a Jesuit missionary to the First Peoples of Canada (then called “New France”) in the 17th Century. Though he was tortured frequently, Saint Isaac persevered in his mission to spread the faith. He was martyred along with Saint John de Brebeuf, another Jesuit priest. Pray to Saint Isaac Jogues for strength in difficult or doomed tasks.
