All Saints Day & All Souls Day, Rita Reviews, Events and Pope JPII Canonization

Greetings from New Orleans!

It's hard to believe All Saints Day and All Souls Day have come and gone, and it is mid-November already and Christmas is just around the corner! We wanted to get a newsletter out on All Saints Day, but couldn't get it done in time. We were invited to participate in the Voodoo Music Festival in City Park and offered over 500 medals for the folks attending the event. The band Pearl Jam put on a great show, and they were introduced to the audience by Steve Gleason, a true icon of awareness about "Lou Gehrig's Disease," also known as; Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS). We will be attending a fundraiser for The Gleason Initiative Foundation, to help raise needed funds, and also awareness about ALS. Some progress has made, and much of it can be attributed to Steve's valiant battle, but there are still many hurdles to overcome in conquering this insidious ailment. www.teamgleason.org

A CONTEST

We noticed that we were receiving considerable traffic on the web site, coming from a link on a web site called www.RitaReviews.net, where Rita has a blog and reviews all kinds of products, offers, and Giveaway contests to help promote the items and Rita Reviews. We decided to get in touch with Rita, and SaintsforSinners now has a contest running on her site. Click on this link, SaintsforSinners Archangels Giveaway to enter to win one of our hand-painted, Arch Angel medal packages. It's quick and easy, and we think you will enjoy visiting Rita's site and entering some of her Giveaway Contests.

Over 1,000 Likes on Facebook!

We reached the milestone of having over 1,000 authentic "Likes" on our Saints for Sinners Facebook page. It's very easy to buy "Likes" online, but that is something we have never done, nor will we ever, and we are very excited to have reached the four-digit threshold. We now have over 1,000 Likes so we are offering over 1000 Thank you's to all of you who have "Liked" our page.

BIRDHOUSES & "REPURPOSED" SAINT MEDALS

We finally finished our first set of hand-painted bird houses adorned with medals recovered after Hurricane Katrina and the flood, and also medals we painted, that, for one reason or another were just not good enough to present to a store for retail sale or send to an online customer. The flood medals and the irregular medals are on every birdhouse to offer protection to the birds that take up residence in these quirky, colorful homes. If you would like to buy one, go to Muddy Mutts Store, a new establishment that caters to dirty dogs and canine lovers. Casey Cardinale, the proprietor, has created a place where you can bring your dog and give him or her a bath, and blow dry their hair without ever having to bend down or struggle to get the dog wash done.  Muddy Mutts is located on 335 West Harrison Avenue, New Orleans, LA 70124. You can also visit www.muddymuttsnola.com for more information. She also offers our hand-painted saint medals, mostly of saint Rocco, patron of dog lovers, and Saint Francis, patron of bird and animal lovers. We're also selling the birdhouses at Haase's Store on the trendy Oak Street, Uptown. It is located at 8119 Oak Street, New Orleans, LA 70118. If you are not in New Orleans, give rob a call (504-239-3143), to order your birdhouse.

Harrison Avenue Market Event

The Harrison Avenue Market resumes its festivities on Wednesday, November 13, 2013 at 5:00 on Harrison Avenue in Lakeview. If you can, stop by our booth and say hello. We have been working on a NEW DISPLAY for the medals and can't wait to hear what everyone thinks about it. We hope you like it, but we also want your constructive criticism and ideas on how to display the medals better.

Quizzes

Rob is finally up-to-date with the quizzes! Take the "Who's Your Saint Quiz" and find out who rob thinks is a good saint for you at this time in your life. It's fun because you can take the Quiz more than once, maybe every year or something like that, and see how the saint you need changes or possibly stays the same! They are all individually read and individually answered.

Retail Stores

New Sales Director, Fletcher Jernigan has taken the South by storm and we have added several new stores to our ever-growing line-up of retailers. Fletcher says that the retailers have started calling him instead of vice-versa because some of you have been going into the stores and telling the owner or buyer they need to get our display trays in their store and sell our medals. All of us thank you for your help! Check out new Stores on the Web Site by clicking this link. Retail Stores

POPE JOHN PAUL II CANONIZATION

Pope John Paul II invoked against Seizures and Parkinson's disease will be canonized on April 27th 2014, at the Vatican in Rome. We are hoping to attend, but we are also applying to have a booth at the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival for the very first time.  So, if the Jazz Fest Jury awards us a booth, we will be missing the Pope John Paul II Canonization. If any of you plan to go, please contact rob and let him send you some Euros so we can get them commemorative souvenirs. We will be sending a free Pope John Paul II medal package with every order that is received within the next week. Or, 2 John Paul II medals if you order 1.
POPE FRANCIS FAVORITE BLESSED VIRGIN RENDITION

Our Lady Undoer of Knots should be arriving soon. When the medal arrives we will send a very brief e-mail to you to show what She looks like.

Offers

As a special offer, all orders that come in by November 20th will receive a free Pope John Paul II medal package. It's just our way of saying thank you for being a valued customer.

My first symptoms of ALS occurred in 2014, but was diagnosed in 2016. I had severe symptoms ranging from shortness of breath, balance problems, couldn’t walk without a walker or a power chair, i had difficulty swallowing and fatigue. I was given medications which helped but only for a short burst of time, then I decided to try alternative measures and began on ALS Formula treatment from Tree of Life Health clinic. It has made a tremendous difference for me (Visit w w w. treeoflifeherbalclinic .com ). I had improved walking balance, increased appetite, muscle strength, improved eyesight and others. ]
