Saint Faustina Kowalska is a relatively modern saint, born in Poland in the early twentieth century. She was a member of the Congregation of the Sisters of Our Lady of Mercy, where she experienced frequent visions and received the Stigmata (the physical wounds of Jesus on her own body)! Though she received no formal education and was barely literate, her book, The Divine Mercy in My Soul, is considered a masterful work of faith. Pray to Saint Faustina for strength and mercy in your life and the lives of others.
