St. Fiacre of Breuil and The Super Shovel! Miracle Worker, Healer of Mind, Body & Spirit

Fiacre lived in the 7th Century and sought a simple life of solitude. Instead, Fiacre was called to be a Healer. Suffering people flocked to Fiacre. His simple touch healed people seeking his aid. Saint Fiacre still sought a solitary life, working land, fostering growth of plants and vegetable for human sustenance. In order to be a humble farmer, he needed land. Bishop Faro of Meuax advised Fiacre he could have all of the land he could till in one day.  So, Fiacre began to work the land with his Shovel. When he started digging, his Shovel miraculously created growth on all the land it touched.  His Shovel “healed” miles of barren land!

      Some objected about his miraculous powers and were accusatory, declaring Fiacre to be the devil. Yet, Bishop Faro disagreed and declared that Fiacre (and his Shovel) were miraculous healers. His gentle, loving touch fostered growth, prosperity and healing of the Mind, Body and Spirit. Fiacre’s medal shows him holding his Super Shovel! He is also the namesake of the famous Saint Fiacre Hotel in Paris © 2024
