Saint Pope John Paul II

Saint Pope John Paul II

The Miracle Worker
Invoked against Seizures & Parkinson's Disease
Feast Day: June 3

He was born in Wadowice, Poland on May 18, 1920, and was named Karol Jozef Wojtyla. His mother died while he was very young and Karol was raised by his father. Karol quickly rose through the ranks of the Priesthood, where he often served as an expert in Ethics. He became a Cardinal and in 1978, on the 8th Ballot, was elected Pope. He took the name John Paul II, in an effort to pay homage to his predecessor. Pope John Paul II became known as the “Peoples’ Pope.” He was, and is, the most traveled Pope in the history of the Papacy. As an ethicist, Pope John Paul reconsidered the plight of the Jews throughout the Holocaust, and was the first Pope to officially offer a Papal Apology from the Catholic Church. He acknowledged the Church should have done more to help throughout World War II and the Hitler regime. Pope John Paul sought forgiveness for the Papacy’s failure to act on behalf of the Jews. He was also the first Pope to visit Islamic nations.  After his death, on April 2, 2005, a French Nun, Sister Marie Pierre, who was suffering from Parkinson’s Disease, prayed to him and the next day, she was completely healed and cured. There is no known cure for Parkinson’s Disease. Pope John Paul II thus became known as a Miracle Worker and many miracles have been attributed to his Intercessions. He was Beatified on May 1, 2011. Over one million people attended the celebratory event in Saint Peter’s Square. Pope John Paul II, is now officially known as Blessed Pope John Paul II and many believe he will be Canonized very soon. Pray to Blessed John Paul II for intercession when seeking relief from seizures and Parkinson’s Disease. The Peoples’ Pope will intercede on your behalf. © 2011
