A Special Offer 💌 USPS, We Have A Problem, "RETURN TO SENDER"

HELLO EVERYONE

First, we are offering our very unique hand painted 4" Pectoral Cross of Pope Francis for $25.00. The medal is 3 or 4 times as big as the typical medals. It has Jesus tending to the sheep with one draped over his shoulder. And usually, in the sea of white sheep we’ve painted we put a sheep painted black to represent those marginalized and forgotten. The sheep is “smack dab in the middle,” in the flock just like the rest of us. It’s a very cool medal but it’s big!

A QUICK "SASE" UPDATE

We’ve received so many nice cards and notes about the gifts we sent after the last round of Canonizations in Rome on May 15, 2022. Most of the packages seem to have arrived at their destination, except for a few, like the one pictured here that came back to us yesterday because of insufficient postage. We fixed that and the package is once again on its way to “Brad & Steph” in Roseville, California.

Another package never made it to the intended recipient, and we sent another but now we think the first package was probably just taking the scenic route. If you follow us on our InstagramTwitter, or Facebook you’ve already read our notes about delivery issues. For the rest of you, here’s what happened:

One of our customers, Mike, let us know, back in March, 2022, that his package never arrived. So, we sent out another and the problem was quickly solved. And then “lo and behold,” the original package made it to Mike in June, 2022, 3 months later than anticipated! So, sometimes things happen that are out of our control. We will continue to use the postal service and just hope that deliveries are made a bit faster.

When we get upset that a package is lost, we just think of our mail carrier, “Sybil,” who is walking and delivering mail in the blazing heat and humidity during the summer in New Orleans. She works so hard. When we remember Sybil and her faithful work, it’s easy to forget about irritation over a lost piece of mail.

On a happier note, this note written on June 8, 2022, and arrived the other day:

Dear Rob,

I just received my SASE with your gifts from the Vatican. When I opened it, I almost fell over! The rosary is absolutely beautiful and I also received a key chain with the Pope on it! You guys are the best! Thank you so much for the beautiful gifts. I will use them and pray for you and your Saints for Sinners business.

Sincerely,
Terry H.

When we get notes like Terry’s, we wind up feeling fueled and re-inspired. Because the truth of the matter is this: there’s lots of days when there’s plain old discouragement. Things don’t go as planned. It becomes easy to disconnect. Stress ensues. We doubt just like Saint Thomas. But then “Terrys” come along and get us back on track. Even when we don’t believe in our ethos, we are gratefully reminded that some people really do believe in what we’re doing. That puts the gas bank in our tank and keeps us going. We appreciate, “accentuating the positives.”

Thanks for reading to the bottom line.
