We visited the museum of the Shroud of Turin, which was a bit underwhelming. Still, seeing the images and portraits and watching the story in their theater was informative. According to tradition, the Shroud is the burial linen Jesus was wrapped after his crucifixion and death.

OK, since NO ONE WON the last contest, we are doubling the prize for this next contest. Whoever guesses who all of the saints are in this next set of photographs will win two prizes and we will try to actually sent them to the winner from ROME and HOPEFULLY FROM THE VATICAN POST OFFICE. I can’t guarantee we will be able to do it, because I don’t know if the post office at the Vatican is open! Hopefully it is!

A bit of an Update Regarding COVID19, it seems the various communities have come to a consensus that Saint Rock/Roch/Rocco is the “Go To” saint to ask for intercession with the pandemic. Most Google searches seem to point to Saint Rocco, as we have done, although we thought San Bernardino of Siena was a nice choice too.

Here’s a little letter about some of the health care saints to think about and perhaps share their stories with others. Maybe your doctor, or a neighbor who’s a nurse, a sister who’s helping another with radiation treatments, a butcher to let them know they have a saint too, or a pediatrician, who helps young kids, or someone who is just feeling a little blue, and maybe needs a happy meeting to cheer them up! Let’s get this newsletter started.

As far as we can remember, we have never suggested that there is a living saint that we should pray to and ask for their help and more importantly ask for their well-being. There’s a first time for everything, though, and we will finish this newsletter asking you to pray for an actual living person, a living saint, for help with combating CV-19.
