Yes, we are using a bit of poetic license and contemporizing Saint John Fisher’s Patronages. That’s ok, we’re not Pope Francis I. Our story will concentrate on John Fisher’s abilities as a Public Speaker Patron, Debater and, if modernized, the Patron of “Influencers.” We will send a quick note when he is up on our website but in the meantime please talk him up on Tik Tok where he could and should be Influential.

The Celebration of Fathers, fathers-in-law, Step-Fathers and all other father figures is Sunday, June 18th, 2023. Father’s Day celebrates fathers, especially the man who was Jesus’ father, Saint Joseph the Worker.

A more interesting event occurred, in my opinion, when we were traveling the French countryside by car and arrived in Nevers, France. The guidebooks said Saint Bernadette was there so we went to the church to take a look. It was locked up and closed, so we visited the replica of the Lourdes Grotto and were about to travel to another town. As we were doing that a side of the wall of the church opened up and people walked out! I was with my friends Mary, Michele, and Rick and one of them or I went over to see if we could get through this now unlocked open door. We were not able to talk to the people leaving but we could say “Bonjour” and smile.

Many Talbot Houses of Recovery have been established worldwide and thousands of alcoholics attribute the Miraculous Intercession of Matt Talbot as the guiding force behind beating their addiction to alcohol. Matt Talbot needs “another miracle” to be declared a saint. It’s odd that Matt has interceded and had thousands connect mind, body, spirit and recover from the disease of alcoholism, each arguably being a distinct very real, palpable miracle.

Saint Sarah’s story comes from the Old Testament. Her story is steeped in Jewish History. Sarah was a Convert from Paganism and the first woman to follow the Faith of Abraham.

For the 4th of July Weekend we are doing something different! Long ago, some of you will remember we were selling “ThaItalian” Sterling Silver Bracelets covered with our hand-painted saint medals. We stopped doing it when we ran out of the sterling silver because when we went to re-order, it was obvious we could not sell the bracelets with lots of our hand-painted medals. The prices had increased, and everything put together just made it too expensive. However ….

We are writing about Shepherding and the Good Shepherd, and also Shepherdess, Saint Bernadette and Our Lady of Lourdes, combined with the Shepherd adorned Pectoral Cross of Pope Francis and Saint Agnes holding a lamb. Oh, and Agnus Dei too! This is going to hopefully flow, believe it or not!

A bit of an Update Regarding COVID19, it seems the various communities have come to a consensus that Saint Rock/Roch/Rocco is the “Go To” saint to ask for intercession with the pandemic. Most Google searches seem to point to Saint Rocco, as we have done, although we thought San Bernardino of Siena was a nice choice too.
