Saint Patrick is well known throughout the world and millions celebrate his Feast Day on March 17th by donning his medal, wearing green, playing bagpipes, drinking green beer, eating corned beef and cabbage and saying “Erin Go Bragh" (“Ireland til the end of time”).

Saint Brigid, also known as “Bridget,” stayed with her mother in her early years. She was a kind and generous girl who could not bear to see a living creature hungry or cold. When her father, Dubhthach, became angry that Brigid was sharing their wealth by feeding and clothing the poor, Brigid reminded him that “Christ dwelt in all things,” wealthy or not.
