Saint Brigid, also known as “Bridget,” stayed with her mother in her early years. She was a kind and generous girl who could not bear to see a living creature hungry or cold. When her father, Dubhthach, became angry that Brigid was sharing their wealth by feeding and clothing the poor, Brigid reminded him that “Christ dwelt in all things,” wealthy or not.

Saint Kevin lived to be 120 years old! Kevin appreciated life in all its forms and he offers great life lessons of love, care, and compassion for all living creatures.

Many go to Church and receive ashes on their forehead. This shows the world the person is celebrating and participating in the Lenten Period with a Lenten Vow.
