Pope Francis has been advocating for building a bigger tent for Catholicism, by raising the roof, stretching its canvas and extending the spikes of its tent. So, there is hope for the revitalization of Catholicism and religion in general. The Pope messages that we do not have to agree with all the “sins” people may commit. But what we can do, like Saint Monica, is accompany people in their course of their life, with hopes for introducing salvation and redemption.

Saint Monica was the mother of a rebellious man, Augustine, who held no regard for her or others.       Saint Monica certainly faced challenges as Augustine’s mother. A bit of an Update Regarding COVID19, it seems the various communities have come to a consensus that Saint Rock/Roch/Rocco is the “Go To” saint to ask for intercession with the pandemic. Most Google searches seem to point to Saint Rocco, as we have done, although we thought San Bernardino of Siena was a nice choice too.
