We are offering our very unique hand painted 4" Pectoral Cross of Pope Francis for $25.00. The medal is 3 or 4 times as big as the typical medals. It has Jesus tending to the sheep with one draped over his shoulder. And usually, in the sea of white sheep we’ve painted we put a sheep painted black to represent those marginalized and forgotten. The sheep is “smack dab in the middle,” in the flock just like the rest of us. It’s a very cool medal but it’s big!

Blessed Charles de Foucauld will finally become Saint Charles! 350 members of his family will be there to celebrate. It’s not certain what Pope Francis and his Cardinal friends will decide about specific patronages for Saint Charles. Saints’ patronages typically evolve organically, it seems.

Holy Thursday is upon us and then soon we will be participating in Good Friday and then celebrating Easter Sunday and the Resurrection. On Good Friday, folks in New Orleans typically have delicious  boiled crawfish, adding corn, potatoes, garlic, mushrooms, onions, green beans, oranges, asparagus, and sometimes artichokes, if you get lucky!

This has been one of the most difficult newsletters to write. Angst. I’m basically feeling full of angst and frozen. Saint Charbel please perform another miracle and cure me from this paralysis. I’ve been reading and studying and trying to write about this coronavirus and everything I type looks crass and hopeless. That’s the bad news….

This is just a short update about the packages we have begun mailing out from the Canonization - we sent out almost 100 yesterday so many could arrive today, tomorrow, or later in the week. However, we basically mailed in order of receipt of your requests and some of you made a few different requests! So, that means you will likely be receiving more than one package. Please give us another week before you think we may have made a mistake with your request, but if that turns out to be the case, just send us an e mail or give us a call and we will get things right.

We are sending a quick update to let you know we are back from our trip to Rome and Assisi. We found so many great items to share. The folks who ordered the free rosaries or ordered a Mother Teresa medal package will be receiving the Saint Teresa of Calcutta rosaries or hand-painted Saint Teresa medals very soon. We expect to be mailing everything on Monday, or if the Arch Angel Gabriel, patron of postal workers gives us a huge boost, this coming Saturday, September 17th.! But, knowing us, it will probably be Monday, September 19th, when they are all ready to be placed in transit. We're working hard to create nice packaging and we think you will be very happy with our teams' handiwork. Thank you, thank you, and thank you, for your kind words or encouragement and patience!

This is Brooks, from SaintsforSinners.com.  I am sending this newsletter on behalf of Rob Clemenz, who is currently in Rome for the Canonization of Mother Teresa, to update you all on this special event and relay news that he has to share with you. He informed me that the Canonization ceremony was an incredible spectacle and when it concluded, "the Pope was reminiscent of Springsteen," circling the large crowd twice, showing some love in the famed pope mobile, as you can see illustrated in the picture below.  There will be more photos to follow in our next newsletter.
