WE FOUND NEW SAINTS and GOOD 'OLE...
Saint Genesius, patron saint of actors, and theater (and lawyers and comedians), must be - he's gotta be - delighted to know that his hand painted medal is around the neck of actor Ethan Rogers, shown above. (@EthanRogersOfficial on Instagram )
Follow Ethan and say hello for us!
Ethan is a recent graduate of Baldwin Wallace University in Ohio. www.BW.edu
His Faith is a big part of his life and I admire him.
He just finished starring in the production of Les Miserables. When the play came to New Orleans we met Ethan and discovered that he was wearing a silver medal of Saint Genesius. Now, he has added our hand-painted Saint Genesius medal to his collection and will be traveling across the country in his latest gig, with our Saint Genesius tagging along.
I think that's so cool.
Ethan is now currently starring in "Back to the Future: The Musical" and playing the hilarious character, Biff Tannen. Biff is the antagonist who challenges "Marty McFly," the character that made Michael J. Fox a sensation. Last Friday night was the debut performance of the play, in Schenectady, New York.
Back to the Future: The Musical
is a touring production and may be "Coming Soon to a Theatre Near You."
Look for it. We're hoping it makes it to New Orleans. Congratulations, Ethan! It's exciting our very own Saint Genesius is on stage again, just like he was in the 6th Century!
Ethan makes me reminisce abut meeting Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band, with Bruce asking for a medal and musicians in the E Street Band Patti Scialfa embracing our designs and the concept of spreading hope, one saint at a time.

YOUR POSTCARDS FROM THE VATICANS!
I have not forgotten those of you who asked for "Postcards from the Edges" of the places where I am going! I have partially written most (not all) of the postcards and they are almost ready to send out. Some of these "Carte Postals" have been mailed before and are 80 years old or more. They will be arriving in your mailbox from cities like the former Vatican, Avignon, France, or the Vatican in Rome or maybe Assisi, Italy, where I will also visit.
I am going to go to the place in Assisi where the saint to be, young Carlo Acutis, patron of Computer Programmers, Marian Devotions, and a lover of Nike, Adidas, Levi's and Play Station lies under glass, not incorrupt but perennially embalmed. Some say he is the patron of Millennials. They do need a saint!
Or, perhaps we'll mail your postcard from another small town in France or Italy. I'd like to go to Donostia, also described as "Saint Sebastian," in the Basque Region of Spain and France but that's quite a long haul. I may not be able to afford that trip this time. That's OK, I will get there one day!
NEW SAINTS ADDED TO OUR LINE-UP!
This medal hunting trip has already been successful. The vintage medals are back! We've also located and bought 10 "new" Saints and several new medal designs of others, to add to our collection. Hmmm - I guess the saints are not new but their medals are very new, to us! We'll be mentioning and describing all of these saints very soon. I'm waiting because I hope to find more saints! You already know we found Saint Gens, patron of rain and patron of youth. And Odile, the Miracle Worker and eyesight saint. Another one is Saint Basil the Great, who is the patron of taxi drivers. So .... it makes sense that we now have the Patron Saint of Uber & Lyft!
Below are pictures of a few postcards I'll be sending out some medals I am gifting here and there as I travel.

The digital Fathers Day advertisement we purchased is now running on the America Magazine web site. It's part of our sponsorship of Jesuitical, the podcast, and that started running too. We enjoyed listening to actor Ethan Hawke talk about his love and admiration for the literature of author Flannery O'Connor, and also the release of his new movie, "Wildcat," which is about O'Connor.
FOOD FOR THOUGHT:
We also found it compelling when Ethan Hawke noted that he's always followed his sense of artistic expression and deliberately made movies that were not always profitable. He followed his gut instinct and made them anyway. And he hinted that Wildcat may not be seen or streamed by very many people. It was validating in a sense because we agree that sometimes many of us choose paths that are not necessarily rewarding in a financial sense.
Yet, who can place a price tag or value, for example, on heartfelt letters of thanks and appreciation? When the lawyer Kevin T. recently wrote me and shared some of his life story and encouragingly said "Please keep doing what you're doing," it was invigorating. And Ethan Hawke an artists' story about the beloved literary figures like Flannery O'Connor? The emotional value of these endeavors can't be "valued" but it is Rich.
As Eleanor Roosevelt once said:
"He who loses money, loses much, He who loses a friend loses much more, He who loses Faith, loses all."
Thanks for reading to the bottom line.
