Saints and Stories: Weekend Reflections from SaintsforSinners
Hello Everyone -
We are up-to-date with fulfilling orders and sent Saint Peregrine, the patron for healing and eradicating cancer, to Australia yesterday. It was nice sending Saint Peregrine "Down Under."
This morning we went to the local Farmer's Market in City Park and found great fruits, vegetables and flowers, plus, home-made butterscotch chocolate peanut butter. It's delicious.
Saint Isidore is known as one of the patron saints of farming and harvesting, along with Saint Richard of Chichester. We sent Saint Richard out yesterday and it's a safe bet Richard will be arriving in a mailbox tomorrow. We always try to get the orders out before 6:00 on Saturdays because when we do, we know the packages will be moving along on Saturday and Sunday, even though the United States Post Office is technically closed. It's never really "closed" though; the post office staff work 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, except for a few National Holiday days.
We discounted Saint Isidore and Saint Richard today. The colorfully customized NASCAR saint medal designs have SOLD OUT though we still have other very nice Saint Richards on clasps and chains.
Hope you're having a great weekend. We are almost finished with the new branding ideas and implementations. If you're in New Orleans for Jazz Fest, visit Forever New Orleans on Royal Street and What's New on Decatur Street to see what we've created. Little Miss Muffin will have our new design tomorrow. Visit Gaye and Monique on Harrison Avenue in Lakeview.
Or, if you're out of town, we will be posting photos on the SaintsforSinners SaintsforHOPE Facebook and Instagram pages. Follow us on those Social Media pages. The new display creation has taken quite a long time to finish and that's basically all my fault because I kept changing my mind and starting over. Over and over again....
When we were at the market today we saw our former neighbor Theresa and were not too surprised that she is still wearing many of the the saint medals she has purchased over the years. And she also has beautiful customized medals that pay homage to her dogs who have passed away. They have their paw prints!
My sweet dog Dusty has also passed away but she spent many mornings and evenings walking and playing with Theresa's "Murphy & Marly." One time they were very excited to be playing together and they ruined Theresa's Flower Garden. It wasn't too bad though because Theresa didn't see it happen. She was in the house and her husband Graymond was walking the dogs off leash. I think we eventually confessed to Theresa but if we didn't, sorry, Theresa. It was all Graymond's fault if I remember correctly.
Thanks for reading to the bottom line.
