Saint Brigid of Kildare

Day 22 of Lent 2023 🐔 Saint Brigid of Kildare

Today is our third day of offering information about the Irish saints.

So, here is our short story about Brigid or Bridgit or Bridget or .... it's hard to spell her name because there are so many variations. We are offering 2 for 1 medals today. When you order any Irish saint medal today, we will also send you one of the enameled crucifixes we found in Rome when we went to Saint John Henry Newman's canonization a few years ago.

Saint Bridget of Ireland—sometimes referred to as “Brigid of Kildare”—is one of Ireland’s patron saints. Because of her storied travels, Bridget has been designated the patroness of boatmen, travelers, mariners and sailors. And chicken farmers. We do not know why! Wear Saint Bridget’s medal to bestow peace and safety upon all your journeys, whether by land or sea!

A special shout out to our friend Denny, pictured above, vacationing in Amsterdam. Thanks for sharing this picture of you and Saint Patrick, we love to see it!

Thanks for reading to the bottom line.
